According to the 2016 US Census report, 46.2 million seniors over age 65 make up 17% of the US population. By 2034 that number will reach 20%, 77 million Americans. Will you be ready for the estimated 30 to 68 trillion-dollar legacy that they will be passing on to future generations? If you’re not prepared to work with seniors, you could miss out on the largest transition of wealth in history.
Wills, trusts, generational transfers, unforeseen taxes for retired people are just some of the subjects that will be presented in this three-hour general CE course. Protecting yourself when working within the senior market while protecting them from abuse will also be discussed. We will present several real-life case studies, discuss Social Security, RMD charitable giving and the often-misunderstood estate and gifting taxes and your legal and moral obligation’s when working with seniors.
The US Census Bureau tells us that 10,000 people reach retirement age every day. This is an advanced class that will give you insight into working with the fastest-growing segment of the American population.
