This course is designed to help an agent inform and educate their client on the scope and breadth of the homeowner’s policy they are purchasing. The client should know exactly what is covered and what is not covered and are their riders that might be considered in addition to the basic policy. The client should also be offered the opportunity to consider an Umbrella policy. This too needs to be explained in detail as to why it might be needed; coverage amounts that should be considered; and what is covered and what is not covered. The bottom line there should be no surprises at the time of claim!
