Course Summary/Objective:
The Reverse Mortgage Program regulated by FHA, known as a Home Equity Conversion Mortgage, has long been a very misunderstood program for seniors. Since inception back in 1988, there have been many stories that the media has portrayed that have been false and misleading. This course will take you through how the Reverse Mortgage/HECM, came about back in the early 80’s to where it has evolved now in 2022. We will review the facts and the myths as well as the changes that have occurred in the last 14 years that have made this program the most regulated mortgage product out there today. Additionally, you will witness real life case studies that have occurred in the last 3 years that have made a valuable difference for 5 senior couples.
