Nebraska Insurance Continuing Education Rules

 

Visit the Nebraska Department of Insurance for current CE requirements.

General Requirement

Licensees qualified to solicit one or more major lines of authority shall be required to complete the following approved continuing education credit hours in each two-year renewal period.  Nebraska has course category restrictions.  These hours must be completed by taking courses approved only for the line of authority licensed for or with additional ethics courses.

Health

21 Hours
Combined Life & Health 21 Hours
Property 21 Hours
Casualty 21 Hours
Combined Property & Casualty 21 Hours
Personal Lines 21 Hours

Title

6 Hours

Crop 3 Hours
Variable 21 Hours

Insurance consultants shall be required to complete 21 hours of continuing education activities and 3 hours of approved continuing education activites on insurance industry ethics in each two-year period.

 

Ethics Requirement

All producers must complete 3 hours of ethics continuing education credit within each renewal period. More than one ethics course may be taken as long as it has a different course number.
